Dolphin Assisted Therapy

San Carlos is also home of the Dolphinario Sonora, located between San Carlos and Guaymas against the backdrop of the beautiful mountain range of Guaymas Sonora and the Sea of Cortez. They are dedicated to help special children with Dolphin Assisted Therapy for different disabilities, Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and other ailments of the central nervous system.

Trained therapist help and assist the children in the dolphin pool while the dolphins interact with the child and use their sonar ultrasonic frequencies to stimulate the central nervous system, which is believed to improve brain plasticity. In the afternoon the dolphins & sea lions delight tourist with an awesome show and all the proceedings from this Adventure are going to this organization to continue to help the needy children. The educational tours are set up for tourist as well as for groups and schools.

You can also learn and get close and personal with these beautiful creatures and touch and swim with them. Learn all about their characters and behaviors and how they interact with you as well as the trainers. let them give you a kiss and push you through the water with ease. Participants to swim with the dophins must be 1.20 meters in height. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
